Heirloom Recipes

We are fortunate much of our family history has been preserved by way of recipes. As the next generation of scribes, heritage and tradition hold an honored place among our halls, the gardens, and, perhaps most importantly, the kitchen.

In our family, food is how we say, “Welcome home,” “I love you,” “I’m sorry,” “Thank you,” “Congratulations,” “We’re here for you,” “Happy Birthday.” We do this with time-honored dishes that have provided nourishment and comfort to our loved ones for over a century.

Hand-written or typed, hundreds of original recipes stained and folded, torn and taped, sit in boxes, revisited again and again, some seasonally, some so often they’re committed to memory, some rediscovered after years of neglect, sparking fond memories.

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our recipes incorporated into the celebrations of other families. Historically, we’ve shared these recipes tangibly, via napkin and notecard.

Since starting Pantry Hill, our virtual community has expanded, and we’ve been searching for a way to maintain the integrity of the recipes and the intimate exchange we so cherish. What we’ve landed on, for now, are seasonally-based e-newsletters and private workshops.

We welcome you to receive bits and pieces of our history by joining the Pantry Hill community. Sign up below.
